Practice Nurse fixed term 6 months Maternity Cover - Peel House Medical Practice

This is a 6 months fixed term maternity cover post. Salary: £34,500 - £40,000 per annum dependant on experience We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly-motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive and dynamic team on a 6 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. We are a large forward-thinking paperless Practice of 17,000 patients, based in excellent modern purpose-built premises. We are focused on maintaining a sustainable and enjoyable work environment and strongly believe that fostering and maintaining a positive ethos and shared visions leads to high quality patient care. Our strength lies in the diversity of skills and professional interests within our team. 

We have a multidisciplinary, clinical team made up of Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, First Contact Physios, a range of specialised Nurses, social prescribers, health and Wellbeing coaches and a mental health practitioner. The Practice benefits from a well-structured and established management team which is led by a Practice Operations and Strategic Manager. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player who strives to deliver a high standard of care. You will have experience in general practice Nursing duties, including cervical cytology, childhood immunisations, spirometry and managing long-term conditions. It is desirable that you have good knowledge of chronic disease management including, diabetes, asthma, and COPD. A comprehensive knowledge of QOF would be an advantage but not essential.
